Scholarships at University of Mobile

The Alabama Baptist Convention Scholarship is open to incoming first-year students at the University of Mobile. You must be a member of a church that cooperates with the Alabama Baptist State Convention to qualify for this award. A special application is also required and may be obtained from the admissions or financial aid office.

The Anderson / Graves Scholarship is open to students at the University of Mobile. The order of preference for the selection of this award is: students from the People's Republic of China; students wishing to study at an institution in China; students from other mission fields of the Southern Baptist Convention; or any student preparing for full-time Christian service.

The Brookwood Baptist Church Christian Service Scholarship is open to students preparing for full-time Christian service at the University of Mobile. You must be an active member of a Southern Baptist Convention church and demonstrate financial need and solid academic standing to be eligible for this award.

The Bruce and Lillie Turner Scholarship is open to full-time students at the University of Mobile. You must be a resident of Washington County, Alabama to qualify. This award may be renewed with a maintained minimum GPA of "B" and full-time enrollment.

The Center for the Performing Arts Scholarship is available to music or theater students attending the University of Mobile. You must audition to be considered.

The Dean's Scholarship Award is open to entering first - year students at the University of Mobile. You must exhibit the potential to develop academically and as a leader in your career, family, church and community to be considered for this award.

The Founder's Scholarship is open to entering first-year students at the University of Mobile. This award can be renewed for over eight consecutive semesters provided you maintain full-time enrollment and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Hillcrest Foundation Scholarship is open to juniors and seniors at the University of Mobile. You must be majoring in psychology, with preference given to students interested in the field of mental health.

The Jesse Patty Scholarship is open to students at the University of Mobile. You must be a man preparing for the pastoral ministry, or a man or woman preparing for ministry in the field of religious education. Preference for this award will be given to students who are members of New Prospect #2 Baptist Church (Lookout Mountain Association), members of churches of the Lookout Mountain Association or Cherokee Baptist Association, and wards of the Alabama Baptist Children's Homes.

The Josh and Ethel Gillepsie Scholarship is open to students at the University of Mobile. You must be from any of the children's homes sponsored by the Alabama Baptist State Convention and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this renewable award.

The Leon and JoClaire Megginson Scholarship is open to female first-year students at the University of Mobile. You must be majoring in religion, with preference given to women pursuing careers in international missions.

The Louis M. and J. L. Adams Memorial Scholarship is open to students at the University of Mobile. You must be from the Dothan, Alabama area and be preparing for full-time Christian work to be considered for this award.

The Matilda N. Carroll Memorial Scholarship is open to students preparing for full-time Christian service at the University of Mobile.

The Mrs. Hattie E. Nored Trust Scholarship is open to full-time students at the University of Mobile. You must demonstrate a commitment to a full-time Christian vocation to be considered for this award.

The Presidential Scholarship Award is open to entering freshmen at the University of Mobile. You must demonstrate outstanding high school academic performance and leadership capability to be eligible for this award.

The Roy F. Martin Memorial Scholarship is open to students at the University of Mobile. You must be pursuing a career in full-time Christian service to be eligible for this award.

The University Scholarship is open to entering first - year students at the University of Mobile. You must exhibit the potential to be successful at UM and as a future graduate to be considered for this award.

The Wallace E. and Wilma R. Keown Scholarship is open to students preparing for church-related vocations at the University of Mobile. Preference will be given to members of the Columbia Baptist Association.
