Scholarships at University of California-Berkeley

The Alexander Marsden "Captain" Kidd Scholarship is available to second- and third-year students at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. You must have an interest in a career in education or education law and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Cal Pride Scholarship is available to sophomore, junior and senior students at UC Berkeley. You must demonstrate academic merit, community involvement and contributions to the LGBT community in order to qualify for this award.

The Edwin A. Heafey, Jr. Fellowship is available to second-year and third-year law students at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. You must demonstrate financial need and an interest in pursuing a career in trial advocacy to be eligible.

The Fiat Lux Scholarship is available to freshmen who graduated from one of the partner high schools and who attended a partner high school in California for at least three years enrolled to attend UCLA. You must be from an underrepresented population or first-generation college students, U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens (California Dream Act Application or hold a permanent resident card), and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

Annual award for a graduate student pursuing a masters degree in an ALA-accredited program in Library Science. Applicant must be currently working with government documents in a library.

The Harry Falik Public Interest Scholarship is available to third-year students at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. You must have a commitment to a career in public interest or public service to be eligible for this award.

The Homer Mason Scholarship is available to second- or third-year law students at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. You must have expressed interested in people of Third World backgrounds or the poor and underrepresented in our society to be eligible for this award.

The Manatt, Phelps and Phillips Diversity Scholarship is available to rising second-year students at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. You must have demonstrated excellent academic achievement and financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to underrepresented minority students.

The Michael J. Halloran Scholarship is available to second- and third-year students at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. You must plan to specialize in corporate law, security law or banking law and intend to take courses in one or more of these areas to be eligible for this award.

The Regent's and Chancellor's Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen, out-of-state, international and transfer students at the University of California, Berkeley. These awards are based on academic performance, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, academic potential, economic background, evidence of overcoming hardship, and other academic or personal qualities that would distinctively contribute to the campus.
