Scholarships at University of Northern Colorado

Scholarship for full-time college freshmen and sophomores who are graduates of a Greeley high school. Students must be attending Aims Community College or the University of Northern Colorado pursuing studies in the Arts. Selection is based on scholarship and specific interest or major.

The Candelaria Scholarship Fund for Hispanic Students is open to Hispanic graduate students attending the University of Northern Colorado. You must be a first generation college student, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate low income eligibility to be considered for this award.

Scholarship for non-traditional students enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado and are majoring in Nursing. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be 25 years of age or older. Selection based on academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Number of awards and award amount may vary. Nonrenewable.

The James Upton Music History Scholarship is open to graduate students attending the University of Northern Colorado. You must be majoring in music history with a minimum 3.5 GPA to be considered for this award.

The Linda Coulthard-Morris Psychology Scholarship is open to graduate students pursuing a master's degree in psychology at the University of Northern Colorado. You must have a minimum 3.5 GPA to be considered.

The MacCracken Memorial Scholarship is open to graduate students majoring in elementary and/or middle school science or science teacher education at the University of Northern Colorado.

The Nicolas A. Glaser Memorial Fund Scholarship is open to graduate students pursuing a master of arts in reading at the University of Northern Colorado. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and use this award to attend the Annual Conference of the Colorado Council of the International Reading Association to be considered for this award.

The Oliver M. Dickerson Memorial Scholarship is open to graduate students attending the University of Northern Colorado. You must be majoring in history to be eligible for this award.

Scholarship for graduating high school seniors from Denver Public Schools entering the Cumbres Program at the University of Northern Colorado. Students must have at least one parent of Hispanic heritage. Selection is based on financial need, and character. A personal statement and most recent tax return must be included with application packet.

The Professional Psychology Scholarship is open to graduate students in good standing in either the professional psychology masters degree program or education program at the University of Northern Colorado. You must be nominated by a psychology faculty member and have completed at least one year of the program to qualify.

Scholarship for Colorado residents who are college sophomores or transferring juniors attending Metropolitan State College, University of Northern Colorado, or the University of Colorado in Denver. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and show promise of making a future contribution to the community through service, leadership, work, or unusual experiences. Deadlines and award amounts may vary. The Richard and Chris Monfort Graduate Fellowship is open to graduate students attending the University of Northern Colorado. Masters candidates must have a minimum 3.25 GPA and specialist or doctoral candidates must have a minimum 3.5 GPA to be considered for this award.

The Robert James Award is open to continuing graduate students attending the University of Northern Colorado. You must be in at least your second semester pursuing a music education degree to be considered for this award. Priority is given to teachers of orchestral stringed instruments in the elementary and/or secondary schools.

The Robert Sund Memorial Award is open to graduate students attending the University of Northern Colorado. You must be pursuing a career as a certified science teacher to be considered for this award. Financial need will be considered.

Annual award for a Colorado resident who is a full- or part-time graduate student at the University of Northern Colorado pursuing a masters degree in Nursing. Applicants must already be admitted to the School of Nursing. Selection is based on scholarship, financial need, leadership and potential success.
