Scholarships at Eastern Connecticut State University

The Adam Huber Memorial AccessAbility Services Fund is available to students students who use the services of Eastern’s Office of AccessAbility Services at Eastern Connecticut State University.

The Alexander “Sandy” Taylor Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be an English major, and preference will be given to students who demonstrate a commitment to peace and the rights of mankind and to those who show an interest in poetry to be eligible for this award.

The Altrusa International, Inc. is available to female student at Northeastern Connecticut who can demonstrate a record of community service at Eastern Connecticut State University or in her home area. You must be a nontraditional student who has completed at least one semester at Eastern, good academic standing and financial need will be considered to be eligible for this award.

The Andy Jones Visual Arts Scholarship is available to junior students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in visual arts and in good academic standing to be eligible for this award.

The Anita N. Jean Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to in-state student(s) at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate good academic standing with financial need and involved in extra-curricular activities on campus to be eligible for this award.

The Arturo and Elba Candales Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to Latino/a students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate financial need, minimum GPA of 2.0 and US citizen to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to social work majors but sociology majors and anthropology minors are also eligible.

The Barbara C. Daring Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in English with a concentration in English literature to be eligible for this award.

The Biology Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in biology to be eligible for this award.

The Chartwells Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate academic achievement and unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Class of 1959 Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must majoring in elementary education, in good academic standing and with financial need, who is intending to teach at the elementary or middle school level to be eligible for this award.

The Class of 2008 Endowed Scholarship is available to full-time students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must live on campus and active in a student club or organization to be eligible for this award.

The Class of 2009 Endowed Scholarship is available to full-time senior students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be involved in community and student initiatives and has a minimum GPA of 2.8 to be eligible for this award.

The Constance Belton Green Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate academic promise and financial need to be eligible for this award. Recipients will be from an urban community in Connecticut and will have demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion.

The Continuing Education Scholarship is available to nontraditional student at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing to be eligible for this award.

The Corbett DeVivo Endowed Scholarship is available to junior and senior students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing with unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The David A. and Martha R. Yutzey Endowed Music Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be academically qualified music major with unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Dorothy N. Carlyle Endowed Scholarship is available to undergraduate students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing, demonstrating unmet financial need and showing initiative by working to pay for your own education to be eligible for this award. Priority is given to students not competing in varsity athletics.

The Dr. Ann Marie Orza Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must have a major or minor in women and bender studies and/or a student who has made a contribution in the area of human rights to be eligible for this award.

The Edith, John and Chandler Hicks Family Scholarship Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate good standing and financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Dr. K. Narayan Kutty Endowed Scholarship is available to upperclassmen students who represent specific backgrounds at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must represent specific backgrounds or academic interests, have financial need and minimum GPA of 3.0 to be eligible for this award. he four specific categories are an Asian, Native American, African, native Australian of Aboriginal heritage, Middle Eastern or Israeli female; a Puerto Rican female or male student in good academic standing majoring in English, History, Economics, Environmental Studies, or Biology; an African American student majoring in Government and Public Policy, Economics, History or Environmental Earth Science; and a female student majoring in English and with a strong interest in Women’s Studies.

The Dr. Marcia P. McGowan Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Women’s and Gender Studies is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring or minoring in women’s and gender Studies and demonstrating achievement through either research or the practice of principles to be eligible for this award.

The Dr. Nicholas Mahalawich and Mrs. Anne Pisarko-Mahalawich ’44 Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must come from a family that is a member of the Holy New Martyrs Church in Norwich and/or attended the Norwich Free Academy and demonstrate good standing and financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Eastern Employees Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must the son or daughter of an Eastern classified employee attending the university to be eligible for this award.

The Edith, John and Chandler Hicks Family Scholarship Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate to be a deserving student to be eligible for this award.

The Ellen L. Lang ’81 and James E. Watson, M.D. Endowed Scholarship is available to nontraditional students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in solid academic standing to be considered for this position.

The Family First Life Endowed Scholarship is available to student(s) from New London County at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The First Niagara Scholarship Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference will be given to students majoring in business administration or economics.

The Frank and Katrina Post Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate financial need and primary goal is to become a teacher to be eligible for this award.

The Jeffrey N. Brown ’79 and Virginia B. Gascon Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good standing with unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The John F. Kearney, Jr. ’75 Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate financial need majoring in political science to be eligible for this award.

The Juan and Carmen Núñez Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing and demonstrate unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Kathleen W. Roan Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing and demonstrate unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Linda Alapi Juras Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be an early education or elementary education major or minor in good academic standing, with unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The M.A.L.E.S. (Men Achieving Leadership Excellence and Success) Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be a graduate of Windham High School involved with at least one extracurricular activity at Eastern, member of M.A.L.E.S. or F.E.M.A.L.E.S., and should be from an underrepresented population to be eligible for this award.

The Marlin S. Clark Endowed Scholarship Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be from Windham, Hartford, New London, or New Haven County, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, who is actively performing community service to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students who have successfully completed the ConnCAP Program.

The Megan L. Kleczka Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to full-time students in good academic standing at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be committed to women’s social issues such as sexual health education, sexual assault services and/or reproductive justice to be eligible for this word. Preference is given to students in the field of women’s studies, social work or sociology with unmet financial need.

The Neil R. Esposito Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in biology and biochemistry who has served biology teaching assistantships and with a minimum GPA of 3.0 to be eligible for this award.

The Neil R. Esposito Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing, who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 and unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) Scholarship is available to upperclass students, preferably a sophomore at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate financial need and leadership in at least one area among scholarship, athletics, campus or community service, communication and creative and performing arts to be eligible for this award.

The Peace Through Education Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be studying abroad to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to education majors and students demonstrating unmet financial need.

The Richard A. Savage Scholarship is available to full-time students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be a biology, biochemistry, environmental earth science, computer science or business information systems, completed 45 credits, and have a minimum GPA of 3.5 with unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The SBM Charitable Foundation Early Childhood Education Endowed Scholarship Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in early childhood education to be eligible for this award.

The Stephen A. Kenton Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in mathematics or computer science in good academic standing and have satisfactorily completed two required courses specified by Dr. Kenton to be eligible for this award.

The Tammy E. Schaeffer Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing, demonstrate unmet financial need and planning to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country to be eligible for this award.

The Dorothy Gardiner Lackman ’67 Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in education to be eligible for this award.

The The Dr. Robert N. Horrocks, Dr. Daniel B. Switchenko and Dr. Neil Williams Founders of Health and Physical Education Endowed Fund is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate financial need and majoring in physical education or sport and leisure management to be eligible for this award.

The John Lombard Economics Excellence Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be majoring in economics and minimum GPA of 3.0 to be eligible for this award.

The Kahan, Kerensky & Capossela, LLP (KKC) Endowed Scholarship is available to junior or senior students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be in good academic standing with unmet financial need, preferably demonstrating an interest in attending law school, who has demonstrated a commitment to community through service to be eligible for this award.

The The Kevin Crosbie Memorial Scholarship is available to students graduating from Windham High School (WHS) at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students who have indicated their intention to major or minor in music while at Eastern.

The Nathan K. Williams Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to male students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate financial need who has exhibited a commitment to volunteerism and who is in good academic standing to be eligible for this award.

The Student Research Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be involved in research work or research internship in the sciences to be eligible for this award.

The Susan McCray Endowment Fund for Theatre Arts is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be a Theatre major in good academic standing and demonstrate unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Virginia and Charles Prewitt Peace and Human Rights Studies Endowment Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must have a minor in peace and human rights or exhibits advocacy for those ideals to be eligible for this award.

The Traveler's Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be a graduate of a Hartford area high school and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The United Technologies Endowed Scholarship is available to students majoring in mathematics, science or technology at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be a graduate of a Hartford area public high school and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Victoria Leigh Soto ’08 Memorial Endowed Scholarship is available to students at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must be studying to be a teacher who has unmet financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Windham Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co., Inc. Scholarship is available to students majoring in business at Eastern Connecticut State University. You must demonstrate leadership qualities, good citizenship and financial need. You must also be in good academic standing to be eligible for this award.
