Scholarships at Florida State University

Recipient must be an undergraduate or graduate student attending Florida State University Panama City. Primary recipients of the scholarship will be graduates of the Panama City Marine Institute (PCMI). If there are no PCMI graduates, a scholarship of up to $1,200 per academic year, which shall be prorated based upon semester hour enrollment, may be awarded to a qualified student. The scholarship will be awarded for one full academic year and may be applied to any degree program available at the FSU Panama City Campus. Scholarships may be awarded to qualified students who exhibit financial need. A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 is required to receive the scholarship award. The recipient must maintain a 2.5 to 2.8 GPA during the award period. The recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) semester hours each semester.

Recipient must be pursuing a degree at Florida State University Panama City, possess and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in the College of Social Work. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient also be a Veteran.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of English Creating Writing Program whose narrative work involves or requires off campus research. The off-campus research might include, but is not limited to, research at national libraries, museums and other institutions within the United States and abroad. Please submit a brief (500 word) description of your project, along with a brief sample (10 pages fiction, 3 pages poetry) of the work itself.

Recipient must be a degree-seeking graduate student in the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Florida State University in the Panama City campus who possess and maintains a minimum 3.0 FSU GPA and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Priority consideration will be given to students with demonstrated community service, financial need and/or outstanding academic accomplishment.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Engineering within the Department of Mechanical Engineering in good standing.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.8 GPA who is enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and academic ability and be pursuing a degree in the College of Business or College of Education.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Engineering in good academic standing who is the first generation of their families to attend college. First preference will be given to a student within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Second preference will be given to a student studying any field of engineering. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a Hispanic student.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA who demonstrates financial need. First preference will be given to a student from Port St. Joe, FL. Second preference will be given to a student from Wewahitchka, FL. Third preference will be given to a student from Gulf County, FL. Fourth preference will be given to a student from Franklin County, FL. Fifth preference will be given to a student from Bay County, FL. Sixth preference will be given to a student from Northwest Florida. Seventh preference will be given to any Florida resident. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a United States citizen.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus pursuing a degree in the field of Communications.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Medicine who demonstrates financial need and a desire to practice medicine in Florida.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics.

Recipient must be a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice who choose to pursue their state officer certification at Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy or another equally accredited law enforcement academy while enrolled in the criminology internship program with a minimum 3.0 GPA and participation in the Lambda Alpha Epsilon criminology fraternity as well as demonstrate financial need. First preference will be given to a resident of Walton County, FL or a child of a resident of Walton County, FL.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy within the Askew School of Public Administration and Policy .

Recipient must be a student in the College of Law majoring in matrimonial or family law.

Recipient must be a full-time student in the College of Business within the Risk Management/Insurance Program entering or in their junior year with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is a member of Gamma Iota Sigma with an expressed interest in the surplus lines industry with financial need, campus involvement, work experience, industry designations, awards and significant achievements, career goals and objectives and professor recommendations.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student attending the FSU Panama City Campus. A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 is required to receive the scholarship award. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA during the award period and be enrolled for a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours each semester. Scholarships may be awarded to qualified students exhibiting financial need as well as outstanding academic or leadership accomplishment.

Recipient must be a student at Florida State University in the Panama City campus who have a physical disadvantage and have shown determination to overcome circumstances to continue their education. Recipient must possess and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours

Recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the United States Army ROTC and Military Science (MSL) courses. Preference will be given to a student in their junior or senior year who have made a commitment to active duty military service after graduation.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Fine Arts within the Department of Interior Design who demonstrate exceptional passion for interior design. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate philanthropic volunteer work, particularly toward undeserved and/or disadvantaged children.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the School of Communication with an interest in media/communications, public relations and/or advertising with a 3.0 GPA or higher and who also demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be an undergraduate degree seeking students in the Civil & Environmental Engineering program at Florida State University in the Panama City campus.

Recipient must be a full-time undergraduate student from the State of Georgia from one of the following counties: Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Floyd, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Haralson, Heard, Henry, Lamar, Meriwether, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Pike, Polk, Rockdale, Spalding, Troup or Walton. One or more scholarship awards is available at a minimum of $500 over one or more terms.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Humanities who has completed at least one semester of college-level Italian, has a minimum 3.0 GPA and is participating in the Florence Program offered by the Florida State University International Programs office.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy in public administration.

Recipient must be a full-time student in the College of Business within the Department of Finance.

Recipient must be a student in the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship majoring in textiles.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled for at least 6 credit hours. First preference will be given to a student pursuing a degree at the Panama City campus who has successfully complete the Take Stock in Children program through the Bay Education Foundation. Second preference will be given to a student student pursuing a degree at the Tallahassee campus who has successfully complete the Take Stock in Children program through the Bay Education Foundation. Third preference will be given to a student who is a Bay District School employee. Also open to employees of Bay District Schools

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science (Biology) with academic merit (minimum GPA of 3.5).

Recipient must be a full-time undergraduate student attending the Panama City Campus pursuing a certificate or minor in Underwater Crime Scene Investigation with a minimum 2.5 GPA who demonstrates financial need. First preference will be given to a student from Panama CIty Beach, FL. Second preference will be given to a student from Bay County, FL.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science with a focus in the area of geology.

Recipient must be a degree-seeking undergraduate student at Florida State University at the Panama City campus who possess and maintains a minimum 2.8 FSU GPA and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Priority consideration will be given to qualified applicants who are qualified dependents of employees of Berg Steel Pipe Corporation and eb Pipe Coating, Inc.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Religion who demonstrates excellence in leadership.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the School of Communication who demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be a student in the School of Communication with a 3.3 GPA. Preference to an undergraduate student in Media/Communication Studies or student with FAMU Coop Program

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science.

Recipient must be a student in the School of Communication who demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be a student in the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship expressing an interest in pursuing a career in small business advising.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science who demonstrates academic achievement and research experience as well as those who demonstrate a need for training in techniques related to molecular biology research.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Health & Human Sciences with a minimum 2.0 GPA and financial need.

Recipient must be a student in the School of Communication with a 3.5 GPA or better who demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be a Senior in the College of Health & Human Sciences within the Department of Human Development & Family Science. Preference will be given to a student participating in an internship opportunity.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy. Preference will be given to a student within the Department of International Affairs majoring in international affairs or studying abroad to improve their foreign language skills or further their understanding of other cultures, international politics or global economic relationships.

Recipient must be a graduate student, preferably a doctoral student, in the College of Education pursuing a degree in higher education who demonstrates academic merit and a dedication to the field of higher education. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a female student.

Recipient must be in the College of Communication and Information.

Recipient must be a undergraduate or graduate student in any degree program at Florida State University Panama City. Scholarships may be awarded to qualified students exhibiting financial need and/or high academic achievement. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required to receive the scholarship award and a minimum 2.8 GPA must be maintained during the award period. The recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester.

Recipient must be a full-time graduate student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy pursuing a master’s degree. Undergraduate students interested in pursuing graduate school after they complete their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply; however, preference will be given to a student who is a senior. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a Veteran.

Recipient must be in the College of Education. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a Veteran.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Sciences (Biology) in good academic standing with financial need. This scholarship is intended to aid students in conducting research (BSC4900 – Directed Individual Study; BSC4970 – Honors in the Major) in lieu of doing part-time work.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Scholarships recipients shall be limited to students who have worked or plan to work in juvenile corrections upon completion of their graduate studies.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student who is a resident of the State of North or South Carolina with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be from one of the following eligible counties: Mecklenburg, Union, Anson, Cabarrus, Stanly, Rowan, Iredell, Catawba, Burke, Lincoln, Cleveland or Gaston counties in the state of North Carolina; OR a resident of York, Lancaster, Chester, Cherokee or Union counties in the state of South Carolina.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Engineering within the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Communication and Information. Priority will be given to students involved in professional and/or student organizations within the College of Communication and Information.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Communication & Information. Priority shall be given to students who demonstrate an interest in non-profit marketing concepts.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Social Work with an interest in working in the behavioral healthcare field and would consider working in the area of Miami-Dade County, FL.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the School of Communication with priority to support tuition, convention travel and incidental research cost.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Education who demonstrates financial need, good citizenship and a commitment to the education profession.

Recipient must be an adult student returning to school part-time (5 or less credit hours) after a five-year break in education with financial need. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a Florida resident 23 years of age or older.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy majoring in Economic Education who demonstrates an intent to teach economics in public schools.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences who will be participating in a study abroad program through the Florida State University International Programs Office.

Recipient must be an undergraduate students attending Florida State University at the Panama City campus. Recipient must be a graduate of a Bay County, Florida High School and Gulf Coast State College. Recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester and possess a 2.8 GPA to receive the scholarship award and maintain a 2.5 GPA to continue the award. Applicants must submit an essay consisting of a minimum of 500 words on the topic “What is the cost of freedom?”

Recipient must be a full-time student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants will be evaluated based on academic merit and financial need. First preference will be given to a student from Bay County, FL. Second preference will be given to a student from Gulf or Franklin County, FL.

Recipient must be a full-time student attending the Panama City Campus who demonstrates merit and financial need. First preference will be given to a student from Bay County, FL. Second preference will be given to a student from either Gulf or Franklin County, FL.

Recipient must be a full-time senior or graduate student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy majoring in Public Health policy with a minimum 3.5 GPA who demonstrates ambition and maturity through campus involvement and leadership, internships, employment, community service, faculty recommendations and/or overcoming significant challenges.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student from either Leon or Gadsden County, FL with a minimum 2.5 GPA who demonstrates financial need. Applicants who qualify for the Florida Bright Future Scholarship are not eligible for this award.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice who has completed their sophomore year with a minimum 2.75 GPA, is in good standing, has not been convicted of any alcohol-related offense, reckless driving or any type of driving or operating under the influence (DUI/DWI) charge and demonstrates financial need. First preference will be given to a natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer with the Gainesville Police Department. Second preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Third preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer with the University of Florida Police Department. Fourth preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement agency in Pinellas County, FL. Fifth preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer or agent in any Federal or State of Florida agency (including, but not limited to, FBI, ATF, DEA, FDLE, FMP, and FHP). Sixth preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any former sworn law enforcement officer who was employed by any local, city, county, or state law enforcement agency in the State of Florida. Seventh preference will be given to a student pursuing a degree in law enforcement. Eighth preference will be given to a student who is a Florida resident majoring in criminology and criminal justice. Ninth preference will be given to a student who is not a Florida resident majoring in criminology and criminal justice.

Recipient must be a deserving student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice who is a graduate of Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach, FL. Should a graduate from Blanche Ely High School not be identified, a resident of Broward, Palm Beach or Miami-Dade County, FL may also be considered. Additional consideration will be given to a student participating in the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) program or a student who exemplifies the characteristics of the program, which includes being among the first in his or her family to attend college and who may face unique challenges because of educational or economic circumstances. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be an African American student.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Business within the Real Estate Program.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Engineering within the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA in good academic standing.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Communication and Information in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders who is in good standing.

Recipient must be a student conducting research in the areas of advanced composites and nanocomposites at the Florida State University High Performance Materials Institute.

Recipient must be a full-time doctoral student in the High Performance Materials Institute (HPMI) working towards his/her degree.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Fine Arts within the Department of Interior Architecture & Design.

Recipient must be a junior or higher in the School of Communication with a 3.0 GPA or greater. Recipient must be in an unpaid internship with an advertising agency or public relations firm.

Recipient must be a non-traditional student in the College of Business within the Department of Accounting or Finance who is economically or educationally disadvantaged.

Recipient must be a full-time or part-time graduate student in good standing in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice who is actively employed in a law enforcement agency (local or regional police department or sheriff department). One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be the first in their immediate family to attend college.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus pursuing a degree in the Recreation, Tourism and Events program with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled for at least 6 credit hours. First preference will be given to a student from Gulf County, FL. Second preference will be given to a student from Franklin County, FL. Third preference will be given to a student from Bay County, FL.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student who demonstrates academic merit. Preference will be given to a student who has financial need, registers in a business ethics course and who has an interest in community service.

Recipient must be a doctoral student in the College of Social Work committed to contributing to the research on military and/or veteran-connected populations.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Medicine. Preference will be given to a student who is in their third or fourth year with a desire to return to Florida to practice in a primary care specialty or in a rural medical service.

Recipient must be a degree seeking student at Florida State University Panama City who is a resident of Bay County, Florida. Applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours and possess and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated financial need and community service. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be 23 years of age or older.

Recipient must be a student at Florida State University Panama City. Recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours and possess and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Recipient should also demonstrate financial need and the potential to contribute to their community and the State of Florida after graduation.

Recipient must be a student at Florida State University Panama City who is a resident of Bay County. Applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours and possess a 2.8 GPA. Eligible applicants must have graduated from a high school located within Bay County. Preference will be given to students who have established residency in the Beaches area of Bay County.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Religion.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Physics.

Recipient must be a degree-seeking students at Florida State University in the Panama City campus, possess a minimum 2.8 FSU GPA at time of award and maintain a 2.5 FSU GPA during award period and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Preference will be given to students with financial need and/or community service and/or outstanding students leadership.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice who is participating in a Criminology Internship Program.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Communication and Information within the School of Communication Science and Disorders in good academic standing with financial need who lives in the Southern Scholarship Foundation scholarship housing.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics who demonstrates an interest in the literature of the Spanish language with academic merit.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy who has been admitted into an International Programs study abroad program in London or Florence campus. Preference will be given to an undergraduate student in the Department of Political Science.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be an international student who is originally from Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia with first preference given to a student from Vietnam.

Recipient must be a full-time student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is former military, a military dependent or a federal law enforcement dependent.

Recipient must be in good academic standing and must be superb clinicians as evaluated by the School faculty. Intended to support graduate student clinicians who have a clinical interest in people with laryngectomies, cleft palate and/or voice disorders.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Engineering in good standing. Preference will be given to a student athlete not already attending Florida State University on an athletic scholarship.

Recipient must be a degree-seeking student attending Florida State University at the Panama City campus. Recipient must possess and maintain a minimum 2.5 FSU GPA, be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and demonstrate financial need. First priority for awarding of the scholarship shall be to qualified students who are enrolled in the School of Nursing. If there are no such applicants, the scholarship may be awarded to qualified applicants enrolled in any undergraduate degree program offered at FSU Panama City. If at any time in the future undergraduate programs in the curriculum area of health/medical sciences are established at FSU Panama City, it is understood that the first priority of awarding of the scholarship shall be amended to a qualified student enrolled in one of the health/medical sciences programs. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a minority student.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.

Recipient must be an adult student returning to school after a break in education with financial need. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be 23 years of age or older.

Recipient must be a junior or a senior majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering and in good academic standing

Recipient must be a doctoral student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy within the Department of Economics.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Engineering.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Education within the English Education program of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must be graduates of Tallahassee Community College who will begin their teaching career at the middle or high school level and demonstrate a commitment to the education profession.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Engineering with a minimum 2.5 GPA who has earned at least 60 credit hours from an accredited higher education institution. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be an African American female student.

Recipient must be a student at Florida State University Panama City campus.

Recipient must be from Bay County, FL pursuing a degree at Florida State University Panama City. Recipient must possess and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be enrolled in at least six credit hours.

Recipient must be a full-time student who achieves the highest semester GPA. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a Veteran.

Recipient must be a student enrolled in a program in the College of Applied Studies, enrolled for at least 6 credit hours and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Engineering with a minimum 3.75 GPA. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a United States citizen.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student with a minimum 2.8 GPA whose scholarly work is focused in Arts and Sciences or Business. Preference will be given to a student that has already completed their first two years of college and is from Bay, Walton or Washington County, FL.

Recipient must be a student at Florida State University Panama City and have been a resident of Bay or Walton County, Florida for a minimum of 10 years. Applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours, possess a 2.8 GPA and maintain a 2.5 GPA during the award period. Primary consideration will be demonstrated financial need.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics majoring in French Language or Literature.

Recipient must be an advanced undergraduate in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science (Biology) nominated by a faculty member for outstanding academic merit.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice who intend to enter into a career in law enforcement upon graduation and have achieved academic excellence.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Engineering with a minimum 2.0 GPA. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a United States citizen.

Recipient must be a student in the School of Communication. Preference will be given to a first generation student who demonstrates financial need. Recipient must be a resident of Bay, Gulf, Liberty, Gadsden, Jackson, Calhoun, Franklin, Washington, Holmes, Walton, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, or Escambia County, have high financial need, and be pursuing a degree at Florida State University Panama City Campus. This criteria applies to new, returning, and transfer students.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the Civil & Environmental Engineering program at Florida State University Panama City. Applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours and possess a 2.8 GPA. Preference will given to graduates of a high school in Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty and Washington Counties, Florida.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled in either the College of Business or the College of Communication & Information at Florida State University Panama City. Applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours and possess a 2.5 GPA. Applicants must demonstrate financial need as well as community service.

Recipient must be a graduate student enrolled in the Masters of Applied Politics & Policy (MAAPP) program within the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy with at least a 3.0 GPA who demonstrates academic success and a desire for civic engagement.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics whose scholarly activity is focused in French and Francophone studies.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science (Biology) who is the first or sole author of an outstanding paper reporting research conducted at Florida State University. Eligibility: To be eligible for the award, the paper must be accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal before defense of the student’s thesis or dissertation.

Recipient must be a student in the Dedman College of Hospitality within the Global Club Management and Leadership program. Preference will be given to a first generation student serving as a summer intern at a country club. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a female minority student.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student from the State of Massachusetts where they have lived for at least the past year. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, sound academic potential to succeed, and service either at school or in the community.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student at Florida State University at the Panama City campus enrolled in the School of Nursing, possess and maintain a 3.0 Grade Point Average and be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) credit hours each semester. The scholarship will be awarded for one academic year to qualified applicants who have demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Preference of consideration will given to current employees of Gulf Coast Medical Center who meet all eligible applicant criteria.

Recipient must be a student who is participating in the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) program and has a declared a major in Social Work.

Recipient must be a student from the Eckerd Kids and foster child programs in Brevard, Pinellas, Pasco or Hillsborough County, FL.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Social Work pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree. Preference will be given to a student from Brevard County, FL.

Recipient must be a doctoral student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Physics whose dissertation is in the area of High Energy Physics (HEP), also known as Particle and Fields.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled in a least 6 credit hours.

Preference will be given to a student who travels to the Republic of Panama for fieldwork through the University’s Panama facilities.

Recipient must be a student at Florida State University Panama City who exhibits academic ability, community service and financial need. Applicants must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours. Undergraduate recipients must possess a minimum 3.0 GPA and maintain a 2.8 GPA during the award period. Graduate recipients must possess and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Recipient must be a full-time student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must demonstrate merit and academic excellence. Preference will be given to an upper division student from Northwest Florida, South Alabama or South Georgia. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Recipient must be a student at Florida State University at the Panama City campus pursuing a degree in the College of Business, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and must possess and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will go to those who are interested in a career in the insurance field.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science (Biology), Biochemistry, or Chemistry who has a career interest in biochemistry, structural biology and physiology who is in the last three semesters of degree work with a minimum 3.3 GPA.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science working on their thesis/dissertation research in any area of geology who demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be a contracted cadet from all Military Science levels (MS I – IV) with a minimum 3.0 GPA who has completed ROTC coursework with a grade of “B” or better. The applicant shall embody all of the characteristics of leadership, honor and bravery, which warrant the recognition of the cadre of cadets. In addition, the award shall go to a cadet that puts everything into their ROTC time and who has participated and been a leader in the Ranger Challenge team, the Seminole Guard and other prominent ROTC activities.

Recipient must be currently enrolled at Florida State University with a minimum 3.0 GPA or better, regardless of major. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a Veteran of the United States military. Recipient must be students at Florida State University who are employees and/or dependents of Corams Steak and Egg or Coram and Son Tire and Automotive. The Dependent must be directly related to the employee (spouse, son, daughter, or a legally adopted child). Priority will be given to dependents that can still be claimed as a dependent for IRS purposes. It there is no eligible applicant as outlined above, then the scholarship may be awarded to another applicant at the option and approval of the donor. The scholarships are to be awarded based on demonstrated financial need as a priority but may be awarded for academic achievement as a secondary priority. The scholarship will be awarded for one full academic year. The recipient(s) must maintain a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) and be enrolled for a minimum of six (6) semester hours each semester.

Recipient must be a degree-seeking student at Florida State University Panama City who possess and maintain a minimum 3.25 FSU GPA (undergraduate) or 3.5 (graduate) and enrolled in a least 12 credit hours (undergraduate) or 6 credit hours (graduate). Recipients must demonstrate financial need, be a resident of the United States and a resident of the State of Florida. Preference is given to students admitted to the Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree programs.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. First preference will be given to a student with academic ability, financial need and who is a resident of Escambia or Santa Rosa County, FL. Second preference will be given to a student with academic ability, financial need and who is a resident from the Panhandle.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science majoring in biology, biochemistry or an equivalent laboratory science program (e.g. medical technology). Preference will be given to a student pursing a degree in media production with a 3.0 GPA and who best demonstrates Kevin’s outstanding qualities for connecting his talent for media production with a passion for making a difference in the community. The Kevin Neidorf Student Award was established by Scott and Paula Neidorf in memory of their son, Kevin Neidorf, who passed away on January 21, 2019 at the young age of 28. This award celebrates his life and legacy. Kevin graduated in 2013 with a degree in digital media production. He had a passion for people, living, inspiring others to think beyond the limits, and do beyond the limits. He connected his talent in media production with his love for cycling and the outdoors and his creativity shone through with the exemplary work that he did to advocate for the environment and social issues, especially homelessness, among other worthy causes. Through this award, Kevin’s legacy will live on and will make an impact on the lives of students for many years to come. During his time at Florida State University, Kevin participated in the FSU Cycling Team as Team Captain and produced several well-received videos featuring cycling competitions and various bike-related content. One notable video in particular, The Magic Hour, won the 2014 Pedals 4 Professionals Contest, presented by Reliance Foundry. Kevin also penned an essay titled Facelessbook which earned him the James M. McCrimmon Award in 2010. It delves into his more creative side and good-natured curiosity for the world around him. “Our McCrimmon awarded essays are selected annually from a pool of teacher-nominated student projects and they serve as exemplars for students in the writing program,” says a representative from FSU’s College Composition Committee. “It is still a strong example of writing and particularly of the analysis genre. The funds may be used for travel to a research site, supplies, data analysis or anything else needed for the student to conduct their research. Preference will be given to students who need the funds for the actual conduct of research rather than to attend a research-related workshop or training program.

Recipient must be a student enrolled in Military Science (MSL) courses who is contracted with Florida State University United States Army ROTC. Preference will be given to a student who is the child or dependent of an active or retired military family member or one who has transferred to Florida State University from one of the following schools in order of priority: 1. Gulf Coast State College; 2. Tallahassee Community College; 3. any out-of-state junior college such that the parent is an active duty military Florida resident and is attending said out-of-state program due to the parent’s current duty obligations or assignments.

Recipient must be a full-time student attending the Panama City Campus pursuing a degree in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other S.T.E.M. related degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipient must be working to support refugees and other international human rights victims (asylum-seekers, torture victims, and human trafficking victims) as an Internship.

Recipient must be a student in the School of Communication with an interest in Hispanic Market and 3.0 GPA and who also demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be a Graduate student accepted to or currently enrolled full-time in the Department of Anthropology who is in good academic standing. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice enrolled in the LEAP program and the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy who is from Palm Beach County, FL.

Recipient must be a transfer student from Gulf Coast Community College FSU at the Panama City campus who have been selected to receive an EXCEL Scholarship from the Bay Education Foundation, Inc. The fund will be used to support students with financial aid not to exceed $300.00 each semester per student toward the purchase of books and university required fees not paid by the EXCEL Scholarship Program.

Recipient must be students at Florida State University Panama City who are present or past members of the Panama city Junior Women’s Club. The scholarship(s) are to be awarded based on demonstrated financial need as a priority but may be awarded for academic or leadership achievement as a secondary priority. Recipient must be a graduate student seeking a Masters or Doctoral degree in the Program in Neuroscience at Florida State University.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the School of Communication with a career interest in media buying, advertising or public relations.

Recipient must be a student at Florida State University in the Panama City campus, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and must possess and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to Bay County residents who transfer from Gulf Coast State College.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy within the Department of Economics who graduated from high school with academic honors.

Recipient must be a student with a minimum 2.0 GPA who is a member of the Greek community. Preference will be given to a student who is a member of Phi Gamma Delta.

Recipient must be a graduate student teaching assistant in the School of Communication who supports Speech & Public Speaking courses.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the Civil & Environmental Engineering program at Florida State University Panama City. Applicant must be enrolled for minimum of 6 credit hours and possess a 3.0 GPA.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering enrolled at FSU Panama City campus. Recipient must possess and maintain a 3.5 GPA, be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, and demonstrate participation in extracurricular activities that indicate a broader interest than solely their coursework.

Recipient must be a degree-seeking students at Florida State University in the Panama City campus, possess and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the School of Communication Science and Disorders who is committed to becoming a school-based speech-language pathologist in public schools.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student attending Florida State University in Panama City. Recipient must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours and must possess a 2.5 grade point average to receive the scholarship award. Selection will also be based upon the overall financial need and academic ability of the student. Priority consideration will be given to qualified employees of Regions Bank’s Florida Panhandle Banking Group or their dependents.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus pursuing a degree in the Hospitality, Management and Tourism program with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.

Recipient must be a student, 23 years of age or older, who has had a five year break in their education with financial need. Preference will be given to an undergraduate student. Applicants must submit the following: -A personal statement covering your previous education, employment, personal and family experiences; your academic professional aspiration; why you want to attend the university at this time; whether you have changed your field and what caused you to change; your perception of your abilities; and any other comments relevant to your application. -A statement that clearly expresses what this scholarship would mean to you personally/professionally if you were the successful candidate. How would the awarding of this scholarship impact your personal/professional life? This statement is an important part of the application and should be strong and convincing. -A statement describing your financial need. Your statement of financial need is a very important part of the scholarship application and should demonstrate strong financial need for the awarding of this scholarship. -Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a current or former professor or employer.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy within the Department of Economics. Preference will be given to an undergraduate student.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice in their senior year with an interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement. Preference will be given to a student who shows an interest in employment with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Recipient must be an advanced undergraduate or a first or second year graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science (Biology) who is interested in zoology and will be participating in an off-campus organized research experience or training program, or specialized course of study.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA, financial need and who is a United States citizen. First preference will be given to a student from Port St. Joe, FL. Second preference will be given to a student from Wewahitchka, FL. Third preference will be given to a student from Gulf County, FL. Fourth preference will be given to a student from Franklin County, FL. Fifth preference will be given to a student from Bay County, FL. Sixth preference will be given to a student from Northwest Florida. Seventh preference will be given to any Florida resident. Additionally, it is a preference that the student be pursing a degree within the College of Business. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science (Biology) conducting research in plant science involving crucial field and/or herbarium study and nominated by a faculty member.

Recipient must be a full-time student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science in the area of geology.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the Speech-Language Pathology program. Priority shall be given to graduate students with an interest in treating autism spectrum disorders, and who have academic merit and financial need.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice pursuing their state officer certification at Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy or another equally accredited law enforcement academy while enrolled in the criminology internship program with a minimum 3.0 GPA and participation in the Lambda Alpha Epsilon criminology fraternity as well as demonstrate financial need. First preference will be given to a resident of Sarasota County, FL or a child of a resident of Sarasota County, FL.

Recipient must be a Graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of English who demonstrates academic achievement. Recipient must be a student in the College of Business who demonstrates academic excellence, financial need, volunteer service and good character.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Medicine committed to serving the profession. Applicants will be considered on the basis of family income, economic hardship, single-parent family, first generation in college, challenges of the applicant’s undergraduate institution (based on evaluation of the rigors of its curriculum), SAT and MCAT scores of applicants, geographic challenges, relative personal challenges, achievements, civics and intercultural awareness, leadership, initiative, honors and awards, specialized knowledge, and unusual characteristics. Preference will be given to a student who is committed to serving the profession as a pediatrician in rural health care and/or those segments of society that are underserved. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be disadvantaged, including those of African American, Hispanic, Asian and American Indian descent.

Recipient must be a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice participating in the criminology internship program at Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy or a similar law enforcement academy with proven academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to Tallahassee natives and members of the Lambda Alpha Epsilon criminology fraternity. Recipient must be a student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy within the Department of Economics in good academic standing who demonstrates financial need. Preference will be given to a first generation college student who was the first in their family to attend college and who has received an Associate Degree prior to enrolling at Florida State University.

Recipient must be an engineering degree-seeking undergraduate student at Florida State University at the Panama City campus who possess and maintains a minimum 2.5 FSU GPA, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Computer Science with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student who is employed and working at least 15 hours per week. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a United States citizen.

Recipient must be a student in the Dedman College of Hospitality with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student who is employed and working at least 15 hours per week. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Recipient must be a student in the College of Business within the Department of Marketing with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student who is employed and working at least 15 hours per week. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a United States citizen.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Business within the Risk Management and Insurance Program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student who is employed and working at least 15 hours per week. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a United States citizen.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Social Work. One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a Veteran.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other S.T.E.M. related degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.

Recipient must be a student in the School of Communication with an interest in sports information and media with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus pursuing a degree in the College of Applied Studies with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference shall be given to an undergraduate student from Northwest Florida.

Recipient must be a communications degree-seeking student at Florida State University at the Panama City who possess and maintains a minimum 3.0 FSU GPA and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Preference will be given to students with financial need and/or academic achievement.

Recipient must be a student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. First preference will be given to a student who was in the care of the Taunton Family Children’s Home. Second preference will be given to a student who has participated in the Take Stock in Children program with the Bay Education Foundation. Third preference will be given to a student who is enrolled in the Commercial Entrepreneurship program.

Recipient must be a degree-seeking student at Florida State University at the Panama City campus who possess and maintains a minimum 2.5 FSU GPA, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, residents of Bay County, Florida and graduated from a Bay County high school. Preference will be given to students who have established residency in the Beaches area of Bay County. Special consideration will be given to students who detail personal achievements, including academic, scholarship and leadership awards, participation in school and community activities (including any affiliation with Optimist Clubs), personal goals, special talents, and any special financial or family circumstances.

Recipient must be a student in the Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship within the Department of Retail Entrepreneurship who demonstrates financial need.

Recipient must be a full-time student in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy enrolled in a Master’s degree program who is an honorably discharged veteran.

Recipient must be a full-time student in good standing who has been a member of the Florida State University Student Government Association for one full semester demonstrating leadership and dedication to their office who has financial need and will be enrolled for an additional semester. Preference will be given to a student from the executive, legislative and judicial branches of student government. Undergraduate students who apply must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Graduate students who apply must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Recipient must be a degree seeking student with a minimum 2.5 GPA who has been admitted into a Spring International Programs Study Abroad Program. Please note: IP scholarships are not available to in-state/out-of-state students currently on the First Year Abroad (FYA) program or First Semester Abroad (FSA) program or those who are directly enrolled at FSU Panama.

Recipient must be a student at FSU Panama City and be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Recipient must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to students who graduated from one of Bay, Arnold, Mosely, or Rutherford High School in Bay County, FL.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student attending the Panama City Campus with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is enrolled for at least 6 credit hours. Applicants must be a member in good standing or a dependent of a member of the Tyndall Federal Credit Union who is in good standing.

The University Freshman Scholarship is available to entering freshmen at Florida State University. Selection is based on high school grades and test scores.

Recipient must be an undergraduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics majoring in German.

Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Biological Science who is interested in obtaining a degree in Botanical Sciences with good academic ability and/or potential and financial need.

Recipient must be an out-of-state student who will be attending the Florida State University Florence program.

Recipient must be a full-time student attending the Panama City Campus pursuing a degree within the College of Business with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must also display financial need and be a qualified dependent or spouse of an active-duty and/or retired military member.

Recipient must be a graduate student in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders who has a strong interest in the field of aphasia and related studies and demonstrates practical application of the subject matter.

Recipient must be a full-time student in the College of Health & Human Sciences pursuing any degree program other than Interdivisional Marriage and Family. Undergraduate students who apply must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Graduate students who apply must have a minimum 3.75 GPA and a GRE of at least 1100.
