Scholarships at Southwestern Illinois College

The Albert A. Wilson Memorial Scholarship by Kaskaskia Industrial Development Corporation is available to students entering Southwestern Illinois College. You must have graduated from Monroe, Randolph, St. Clair or Washington County and have at least a 3.0 GPA. You must also demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in an industrial-related field.

The Belleville Kiwanis Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a graduate of Althoff, Belleville East or Belleville West High School. You must be a math or science major and demonstrate academic merit to be eligible for this award.

The Belleville Mid-Town Noon Lions Club Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a vision or hearing impaired student and have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Belleville News-Democrat GED Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a GED graduate and have completed COMPASS testing and Career Assessment at the Counseling Department. If you have already completed hours at SWIC you must also have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Belleville Rotary Scholarship is available to full-time students entering Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a graduate of Althoff, Belleville East or Belleville West High School to be eligible for this award.

The Bertha M. Boettcher Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a music students enrolled in a performance ensemble and specified courses (Music Theory, Private Applied Music) and have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this award. Auditions are required.

The Brenda Smith Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a second year student in the physical therapy assistant program, demonstrate financial need, have at least a 2.5 GPA and be an Illinois resident to be eligible for this award.

The Carl A. and Lorain Ranft Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be enrolled in the industrial technology program at the Granite City Campus Industrial Training Center or extension center and have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Carol Lehr Memorial by SWICEE Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate academic merit to be eligible for this award.

The Carol Sue Betty Lehr Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Charles M. Stafford Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a business, accounting or banking major and have at least a 3.0 GPA. You must also be a graduate of Belleville East, Belleville West, Althoff or O'Fallon High School to be eligible for this award. Students already receiving outside financial aid are not eligible.

The Chef Ollie Sommer Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must have completed at least ten hours of credit towards an Associate of Science degree in hospitality or food service management and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Financial need and academic merit will be considered in your scholarship application.

The Collinsville Lions Club Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must hearing or vision impaired and reside in Collinsville, Caseyville or Maryville. You must also have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Commercial State Bank of Waterloo Scholarship is available to part-time students at Southwester Illinois College. You must be enrolled for at least six credit hours with a minimum 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this award. First preference will be given to students from Waterloo, Illinois with second preference going to students from Monroe County.

The Curt E. Eckert and Jann Eckert Azumi Memorial Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College Foundation. You must be seeking a four-year degree in horticulture and have at least a 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Don Chapman Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be enrolled in a technical education program and have at least 24 hours completed with a minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Don Libby Memorial Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be enrolled in a technical education program and have at least 30 hours completed with a minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Dr. Michael Schneider Award is available to mathematics students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must have completed at least four courses at Math 203 or above within five semesters at SWIC. You must also have at least a 3.5 mathematics GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Edward H. Tegtmeier Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be committed to earning a degree in hospitality food service management. You must also have completed at least ten hours of hospitality courses with at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Elsie Morton Memorial by P.E.O Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a student at least 25 years old and have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Ethelyn Boyd Scholarship is available to graduating students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be transferring to a four-year institution. You must also be a graduate of Belleville High School District #201 or a resident of Mascoutah to be eligible for this award. Academic merit and demonstrated financial need are considered.

The Evelyn Lawson Reinhart, R.N., Memorial Scholarship is available to nursing students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award. Upon graduation, you must also seek employment as a nurse at a healthcare facility or continue to study nursing at a four-year college upon graduation from SIC. You may not have any other financial aid for the term. Preference will be given to students who are the first siblings to attend school beyond high school or to students from single parent families.

The Exchange Club of Belleville Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College with a minimum of nine credit hours. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students committed to earning a one-year certificate or an AAS degree in Early Childhood Education.

The Fairview Heights Alderman Pat Baeske Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a resident of Ward 3 in Fairview Heights and have at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The First Bank - Red Bud Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a current-year high school graduate and a resident of Red Bud. You must also have at least a 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The First National Bank of Sparta Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a current-year graduate of Sparta High School, have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The First National Bank of Waterloo Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a resident of Waterloo or Columbia school district in Monroe County and be a graduate of Columbia, Gibault and Waterloo High School. You must also have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Gabrielle Kirchoff Memorial Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a second-year nursing or education student with at least a 3.0 GPA and a resident of St. Clair County to be eligible for this award.

The Garner Kimbrell Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be seeking a two-year degree in welding and have completed at least nine hours with at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award. Preference will be given to past VICA participants.

The Gateway East Artist Guild Visual Arts Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be seeking a visual arts degree and have at least a 3.0 GPA. You must also demonstrate financial need and provide a recommendation from a high school counselor or SWIC art department faculty member to be eligible for this award. First preference will be given to current-year high school graduates.

The Gateway FS, Inc. Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a resident of the Gateway FS service area (Monroe and Randolph County). You must also have completed at least 24 credit hours working towards a career in agriculture with at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The George and Mae Amisch Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a resident of Granite, Madison, Mitchell, Pontoon Beach or Venice and have at least a 3.0 GPA. You must also demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Harrisonville Telephone Company Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a resident of the Harrisonville Telephone Company service area and a graduate of Columbia, Dupo, Gibault, Red Bud, Valmeyer or Waterloo High School. You must also have at least a 2.0 GPA and demonstrate academic merit to be eligible for this award.

The Junior Service Club of St. Clair County Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a St. Clair County resident who is at least 25 years old. You must also have at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Mary Buettner GED Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a GED graduate with at least a 2.0 GPA. You must also be a resident of Monroe County to be eligible for this award.

The Mel and Janet Wilmsmeyer Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a resident of Granite City, Collinsville, Madison, Venice or Mitchell and have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Memorial Foundation Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be enrolled in a program a study that will prepare you for employment in a healthcare position at Memorial Hospital, though it is not required that you apply for employment. You must also have completed at least 12 credit hours with a minimum 3.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Red Bud Industries Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be seeking a degree related to manufacturing such as: engineering, sales, computers, business, accounting, machining, welding or electronics. You must also be a graduate of Red Bud High School or Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School, a resident of Red Bud High School District 132 and have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Roger A. Giannini Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be at least 25 years old, have at least a 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The St. Clair County Legal Auxiliary Scholarship is available to students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be a resident of St. Clair County. You must also be pursuing a law-related degree at SWIC, have at least a 3.5 GPA and plan to transfer to complete a baccalaureate degree to be eligible for this award.

The William Burns Memorial Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southwestern Illinois College. You must be enrolled in the second year of the administration of justice program and have at least a 3.0 GPA. You must also reside in the Southern Illinois Police Chiefs' Association region and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.
