Scholarships at Harvard University

Annual fellowship for postgraduates who are current members of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and are Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM) or Certified Midwives (CM) seeking further education in leadership. Applicants must have been working in the field a minimum of five years. The week long class is held at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Number of awards and award amount may vary.

The Byse Fellowships in Law and Economics is available to students in the S.J.D. program at Harvard Law School. Selection criteria will include the specificity, feasibility, and general interest of the proposed workshop, and the applicant's general academic achievement.

Scholarship for Erie, Pennsylvania residents who are first-year graduate students enrolled at Harvard University Law School. Students must have the highest LSAT score for the year of admission. Scholarship for IAFF members in good standing planning to attend the Harvard University Trade Union Program. Selection is based on demonstrated active participation within the local IAFF affiliate as an officer, committee member, etc. A short essay must be included with application packet. Award amount is $1,000 plus tuition. Number of awards may vary.

Scholarship for students who are full-time AFSCME (American Federation of State, County, & Municipal Employees) staff or a member holding an elected position planning to attend the six week Harvard Trade Union Program at Harvard University. Applicants must be planning to devote their careers to the trade union movement. Selection is based on experience in the labor movement, the capacity to develop strong leadership skills, and the ability to handle a rigorous educational program. Award amount covers tuition, housing, meals, books and round-trip transportation.

Scholarship only for undergraduate children of U.S. Marines admitted to Harvard University. Parents must be on active duty OR a Marine Corps Reservist (minimum of 20 years) OR former Marine (minimum 5 years of duty) who have been honorably and/or medically discharged, OR whose parent has been killed while on active duty. Student must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate financial need. Submit letter of acceptance to Harvard University with application. Award is for full four-year scholarship, including room, board and tuition. Due date and number of awards may vary.

Annual award for area residents who are undergraduate or graduate students attending Harvard University pursuing studies in a professional field or scientific field. Selection criteria varies. Due date, number of awards, and award amount may vary. Nonrenewable.
