Scholarships at Central Michigan University

The Centralis Gold Award is available to entering freshmen at Central Michigan University. You must have at least a 3.7 GPA and a minimum 27 ACT / 1220 SAT score to be eligible for this award.

The CMU Board of Trustees Academic Honors Scholarship is automatically awarded to high school seniors who will graduate with a minimum 3.5 GPA and at least a 20 ACT score who will attend Central Michigan University straight from high school. This award is renewable provided you maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

The CMU Community College Transfer Recognition Award is available to community college transfer students at Central Michigan University. You must be transferring from a community college and have completed at least 30 transferable credits with a minimum 3.3 GPA to be considered for this renewable award.

The CMU Outstanding High School Student Scholarship is automatically awarded to all high school seniors who rank first or second in their high school class and plan to attend Central Michigan University. This award is renewable for three consecutive years, provided you maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher and continuous full-time enrollment.

The Dr. W.E. and Idonea Lewis Hersee Endowed Scholarship is available to junior students at Central Michigan University. You must be a biology major in the pre- medicine program to be eligible for this award.

The Duane Mark Bouliew History Scholarship is available to junior and senior history students at Central Michigan University. You must have completed at least 12 history credits with a minimum 3.25 GPA, have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and be active in the history club, campus or community organizations or Phi Alpha Theta to be eligible for this award.

The John E. Warriner Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate humanities and social sciences majors at Central Michigan University.

The Lloyd M. Cofer/Multicultural Advancement Scholarship is open to entering freshmen at Central Michigan University. You must be a graduate of a Detroit Public High School who demonstrates an interest in the advancement of minorities in American society in order to qualify. This award is renewable provided you maintain a satisfactory academic record.

The Multicultural Advancement Award of Distinction Scholarship is available to entering freshmen at Central Michigan University. You must have distinguished yourself in the advancement of underrepresented groups in American society to be considered for this award.

The William H. Rivard Trombone Scholarship is available to music students at Central Michigan University. You must have maintained high academic standards, contributed to school ensembles, and displayed enthusiasm towards the study of trombone to be eligible for this award.
