Scholarships at University of Minnesota-Twin Cities

The 3M Business Development Fellowship is open to domestic MBA students at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management. You must have a science, technology, and/ or engineering background and wish to participate in the Carlson Ventures Enterprise to qualify for this award.

The 3M/Alumni Undergraduate Scholarship is available to freshmen at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be a resident of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota or other 3M operating locations. You must also be enrolled in the College of Biological Sciences, the Institute of Technology or the Carlson School of Management and demonstrate academic performance, scholastic aptitude and evidence of outstanding leadership to be eligible for this award. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

The Design, Housing and Apparel Scholarship is available to students entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be majoring in clothing design, graphic design, housing studies, interior design or retail merchandising. You must also demonstrate strong academic achievement, leadership qualities and extracurricular activities to be eligible for this award. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

The Diversity in Food and Natural Resources Scholarship is available to students entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be enrolled in the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences. You must also demonstrate a contribution to diversity, high academic achievement, leadership and community involvement to be eligible for this award. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

The Glen E. Ullyot Scholarship is available to students entering the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students from Clark High School, Clark, South Dakota or from South Dakota generally.

The Legacy Scholarship is available to students entering the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be majoring in Family Social Science or Youth Studies and demonstrate a strong academic record, leadership qualities and extracurricular involvement to be eligible for this award. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is also required.

The Leon and Ida Finkelstein Memorial Scholarship is available to students entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be a Minnesota resident and demonstrate academic achievement and financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference will be given to children of Jewish parents who have lost a parent due to divorce or death. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

The Maroon and Gold Leadership Award is available to students entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be a Minnesota resident, rank in the top 3 percent of your graduating class, and demonstrate outstanding academic performance, leadership, creativity, community involvement and contributions to diversity to be eligible for this award. U.S. citizenship is also required.

The Michael T. Steadland Scholarship is open to freshmen entering the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. To be considered for this award, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. You must also be a resident of Minnesota from outside of a metro area. Your academic performance and leadership skills will be evaluated during the application process.

The Minnesota Gold Scholarship is open to students entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be a resident of Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, or North Dakota to be eligible for this award. You must also rank in the top 5 percent of your graduating class, and demonstrate outstanding academic performance, leadership, creativity, a committment to diversity and community involvement.

The Norman Family Scholarship is available to students entering the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference will be given to students from the following high schools: Red Wing, Cannon Falls, Goodhue, Kenyon-Wanamingo, Pine Island, Walter H. Maginnis, Zumbrota/Mazeppa, Elgin-Millville, Lincoln (Lake City, MN) and Plainview High School (Wabasha County, MN).

The Roger and Judy Nord Scholarship is open to freshmen entering the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. To be considered for this award, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and demonstrate financial need. Your academic performance and leadership skills will be evaluated during the application process.

The State Indian/ Tribal Scholarship is open to American Indian freshmen entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. To be considered for this award, you must be a Minnesota resident with at least one- fourth Indian ancestry and be a member of a federally recognized tribe.

The University of Minnesota Academic Excellence Scholarship is open to freshmen entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. To be considered for this award, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, claim Minnesota residency and demonstrate outstanding ability, achievement and potential in all academic areas to be eligible for this award.

The University Study Abroad Freshman Scholarship is available to freshmen at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must have an interest in studying abroad. You must also demonstrate academic performance, evidence or outstanding leadership, creativity and community involvement. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

The Wen Ping Pan Scholarship is available to student entering the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. You must be of Chinese American descent and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
