Scholarships at Jefferson College

The Adult Re-Entry Scholarship is available to entering students at Jefferson College. You must be returning to school after a period of time and reside in Jefferson County. Preference is given to mature individuals who are single parents or who have chosen to pursue a non-traditional career path.

The Art Scholarship is available to art students at Jefferson College. You must submit a portfolio, a letter of recommendation, and a high school transcript to be considered for this award.

The Charles Studyvin Scholar/Leader Award is available to students at Jefferson College. You must demonstrate scholarship, leadership and academic promise to be eligible for this award.

The Employee Recognition Scholarship is available to students at Jefferson College. You must demonstrate academic achievement, evidence of scholarship and leadership. You must also rank in the top fifty percent of your graduating high school class to be eligible for this award.

The GED Scholarship is available to students at Jefferson College. You must have obtained your GED with a minimum score of 2800 and be a resident of Jefferson County to be eligible for this award.

The Honors "Top Ten" Scholarship is available to students at Jefferson College. You must rank in the top ten percent of your class and be graduating from a Jefferson County high school or reside in the county at the time of your application. Home-schooled students living in Jefferson County are eligible provided they scored in the 90th percentile of the ACT.

The James Lee Chism Scholarship is available to freshman students at Jefferson College. You must be a resident of Jefferson County and a recent high school graduate to be eligible for this award.

The Jefferson Scholarship is available to entering freshmen at Jefferson College. You must rank in the top 50 percent of your graduating class and be a recent high school graduate to be eligible for this award.

The Mathematics Scholarship is available to students at Jefferson College. You must have participated in the Annual Jefferson College Mathematics Contest and receive first or second place. You must also attend a Jefferson County high school.

The President's Scholarship is available to entering freshmen at Jefferson College. You must rank in the top 25 percent of your graduating class and be a recent graduate of Jefferson County High School or be a resident of the county to be eligible for this award.

The Ray Henry Scholarship is available to freshmen students at Jefferson College. You must be a recent graduate of a Jefferson County high school and have graduated in the top 25 percent of your class to be eligible for this award.

The Special Opportunity Achievement Academic Award is available to students at Jefferson College. You must have ranked in the top half of your graduating class or have achieved a minimum GED test score of 2800. You must also be from a disadvantaged socio-economic background. Preference is given to students participating in the Jefferson College Student Support Services Program, Project Success, or to students with financial need.
