Scholarships at University of Missouri-Kansas City

The ADA Endowment and Assistance Fund, Inc. Dental Student Scholarship is open to second-year dental students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. To be considered for this award, you must demonstrate financial need and academic achievement. The School of Dentistry nominates up to two candidates to the ADA for selection.

The ADA Endowment and Assistance Fund, Inc. Minority Scholarship is open to DDS students in their first, second or third year at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. To be considered for this award, you must be a minority and demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.

The Colgate-Palmolive "Bright Smiles, Bright Futures" Scholarship is open to dental hygiene students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City who are underrepresented minorities. To be considered for this award, you must have good academic standing.

The Delta Dental of Missouri Scholarship is open to dental students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City who have demonstrated superior academic performance. To be considered for this award, you must be a graduate of a Missouri high school.

The Dr. George H. Abney Memorial Scholarship is open to dental students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. To be considered for this award, you must have an interest in specializing in oral surgery. Preference will be given to Missouri and Arkansas residents who demonstrate broad areas of interest outside of dentistry.

The Heart of America Dental Society Scholarship is open to underrepresented minority dental students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. To be considered for this award, you must have a meritorious academic record and demonstrate financial need.

The Hispanic Dental Association Foundation Scholarship is open to entering dental or dental hygiene students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City who are in their first or third year of dental school or are working toward their B.A. To be considered for this award, you must have Hispanic parentage, a meritorious academic record, community service, leadership and/or extracurricular involvement.

The Independence Regional Health Center Auxiliary Scholarship is open to health profession students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. To qualify for this award, you must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and sufficient financial need. Preference will go to residents of Eastern Jackson County, Missouri.

The Robert P. and Penelope A. Chappell Scholarship is open to sophomore dental students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City who demonstrate financial need. To be considered for this award, you must have a meritorious academic record.

The Roo Advantage Scholarship is available to incoming full-time freshman students at University of Missouri-Kansas City. You must be a resident of Missouri or Kansas and be Pell-eligible to be considered for this award. This award covers any remaining gap between a student’s gift aid (scholarships and grants) and their remaining tuition and fee costs and is renewable provided the student maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5.

The Roo Nation Award is open to non-resident students at University of Missouri, Kansas City. You have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in order to be considered for this award. Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Law students are not eligible. This award provided in-state tuition rates.
