Scholarships at Wayne State College

The Andersen - Vaughan Endowed Scholarship is available to full-time incoming freshman students majoring in English at Wayne State College.

The Don and Carol Bremer Education Scholarship is available to entering freshmen and returning students majoring in education at Wayne State College. First preference is given to residents of Laurel and Neligh, Nebraska. Second preference is given to returning student from Laurel and Neligh, Nebraska.

The Education Matters Scholarship is available to entering freshmen at Wayne State College. To be considered, you must demonstrate academic success, and have made a commitment to extensive high school involvement and othersignificant leadership and volunteer opportunities.

The Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Scholarship is available to continuing students majoring in family and consumer sciences at Wayne State College.

The Hanawalt Memorial Scholarship is available to junior and senior-level undergraduate students at Wayne State College. You must be an English major and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to be eligible for this award.

The Herb and Sherry Mignery Scholarship is available to continuing students majoring in art at Wayne State College.

The Ida M. Warner Memorial Scholarship is available to sophomores, juniors and seniors majoring in family and consumer science at Wayne State College.

The J.G.W. Lewis Memorial Scholarship is available to incoming freshman students at Wayne State College. You must be a social science major to be eligible.

The John David Robinson Scholarship is available to students at Wayne State College. You must be majoring in history or geography and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The John G. Neihardt Scholars Program is open to entering freshmen at Wayne State College who participate in the honors program. You must have a minimum ACT score of 25 and a minimum 3.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The Kent Hall Memorial Scholarship is available to students majoring in biology at Wayne State College. You must be a graduate of Wayne High School, Laurel High School to be eligible for this award.

The Leadership Award is available to entering freshmen at Wayne State College. To be considered, you must be very active in high school leadership and plan to continue that involvement in college.

The Paul Jonathan Ewald Jorde Pre-Med Scholarship is available to students at Wayne State College. You must be a pre-medicine major to be eligible.

The Presidential Scholarship is open to entering freshmen at Wayne State College. You must have a minimum ACT score of 30 to be eligible for this award.

The Ruby V. Pedersen "Excellence in English" Scholarship is available to incoming freshman students at Wayne State College. You must be a humanities major to be eligible for this award.

The Walter and Lucille Peterson Endowed Scholarship is available to incoming freshman students at Wayne State College. You must be majoring in elementary education to be eligible for this award.

The Webber Memorial Mathematics Scholarship is available to incoming freshman students at Wayne State College. You must be majoring in mathematics or mathematics education to be eligible for this award.
