Scholarship for incoming undergraduate students enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America who are first generation college students. Applicants must have been educated in a major metropolitan area in the U.S. Selection based on academic achievement and financial aid. Due date may vary. Award amount is for full-tuition. Renewable.

Scholarships are available to students entering The Culinary Institute of America. If you have earned a combined SAT score (Math + Critical Reading) of 1,000 or an ACT score of 22, you are eligible for a $1,000 SAT/ACT Achievement Scholarship. If your scores are 1,200 on the SAT (Math + Critical Reading) or 27 on the ACT, you are eligible for a $2,000 scholarship. Official scores must be submitted with the admissions application. This scholarship is not renewable.

The Culinary Institute of America offers this scholarship to prospective students who are encouraged by a CIA graduate to apply for admission. Qualifying students will receive a one-time, $1,000 scholarship for their first year in our degree programs. To be eligible for the CIA Alumni Referral Scholarship, students must include a letter of recommendation from the CIA graduate with their application for admission.

The CIA Need-based Grant is available to students in a degree program at Culinary Institute of America. You must demonstrate financial need by submitting the FAFSA to be eligible for this grant.

Students who compete and place first, second, or third in competitions sponsored by SkillsUSA, ProStart, or Family Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) are eligible for scholarships sponsored by The Culinary Institute of America. These scholarships are renewable annually with a GPA of 3.0.

The National Student Organization (NSO) Competition Scholarships is available to students who plan to attend the Culinary Institute of America. You must compete and place first, second, or third in competitions sponsored by SkillsUSA, ProStart, or Family Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) to be eligible for this award. Renewable annually with a minimum GPA of 2.75.

The Culinary Institute of America offers an essay contest for NSO memebers (members of SkillsUSA, ProStart, or FCCLA). Members are eligible to apply for one of 45 non-renewable, $2,000 scholarships. Officers of SkillsUSA and FCCLA are also eligible for additional awards.

The CIAs merit scholarship system takes a good look at YOU-- your past academic performance, foodservice experience, extracurricular activities-- to determine if you qualify for a CIA Merit-Based Scholarship. Based on your CIA application for admission youll automatically be considered for awards ranging from $2,500 to $4,000.
