Scholarships at Mercy University

The Association of Hispanic Professionals Scholarship is open to incoming freshmen at Mercy College. You must be recommended by the Hispanic Professional Association to qualify for this award.

The Barbara Ross Sullivan Memorial Fund is open to graduating seniors at Mercy College, Bronx Campus who are entering graduate school to pursue an advanced degree in library science.

The Carol Burnett Scholarship is open to students at Mercy College. You must exhibit academic achievement and have an interest in the arts or humanities, especially the performing arts.

The Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics Scholarship is open to full-time students at Mercy College who have declared a major in computer science, computer information systems or mathematics. You must have completed at least CISC 231, be a U.S. citizen or national, be PELL-eligible, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

The Daddy Short Legs Scholarship is open to senior students at Mercy College who are in jeopardy of dropping out due to financial struggles. A faculty or staff member of the college must refer the student to the Development Office to be eligible.

The Dennis and Fay T. Greenwald Award is open to graduating senior students at Mercy College who are in the English Literature Program. You must have been accepted into a graduate program to qualify for this award.

The E. L. Franz Scholarship is open to employed students at Mercy College who are already receiving full financial aid in order to reduce dependence on employment income and enhance opportunity for academic success.

The Frances T. M. Mahoney Endowed Fund for Students is open to students at Mercy College who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. You must demonstrate financial need to qualify for this award.

The Gioietta and Alberto Vitale Scholarship is open to incoming honors students at Mercy College who demonstrate extraordinary academic ability. You must have an interest in business or health science to qualify for this award. The scholarship includes a mentorship opportunity and is designed to reduce the students dependence on outside work to complete his/ her college study.

Graduate Assistantships are available to graduate students at Mercy College. You must demonstrate academic potential and a willingness to earn some of your college tuition to be considered for this award.

The James Elting Scholarship is open to students at Mercy College who are majoring in accounting. You must demonstrate superior academic performance and financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Joel Halpern Scholarship is open to students at Mercy College who are from Westchester County, New York.

The John Sullivan Fund is open to students with financial need at Mercy College. You must have completed two semesters and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to qualify for this award.

The Juan Miguel Roldan Scholarship is open to students at Mercy College who are majoring in music industry and technology. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 to qualify for this renewable award.

The Lucie Lapovsky Award is open to part-time and transfer students at Mercy College.

The Luzette Ceneus Scholarship is open to Haitian students majoring in business at Mercy College.

The Mercy College Freshman Scholarship is open to entering freshmen at Mercy College. You must have a minimum high school average of 85 to qualify for this renewable award.

The Michael I. Muro Scholarship is open to seniors at Mercy College who are history majors. You must be a Yonkers resident to qualify for this award. Selection is based on academic excellence, community service, and financial need.

The Mortimer Levitt Bright Star Scholarship is open to freshmen, sophomore and junior students at Mercy College. You must be on the summa cum laude track and be nominated by Mercy faculty to qualify for this award.

The Mortimer Levitt Scholarship is open to female students at Mercy College. You must be planning to study abroad to qualify for this award.

The Neillis Memorial Scholarship is open to students studying natural sciences at Mercy College. You must demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Rockland Community College Transfer Scholarship is open to transfer students from Rockland Community College who are attending Mercy College. You must be studying business to qualify for this award.

The Steinitz Memorial Fund Award is open to students at Mercy College who are enrolled in the teacher education program. You must have completed at least 45 credits at the time of graduation and plan to pursue your master's in education at Mercy College.

The Steven Gans Memorial Scholarship is open to continuing undergraduate students at Mercy College. You must be studying computer science, mathematics, or related sciences; and demonstrate creativity and academic achievement in your educational pursuits to be eligible for this award. Students should be nominated by the faculty for this award.

The J. Mae Pepper Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate nursing students at Mercy College. You must have completed two semesters and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to be considered for this award.

The Transfer President's Scholarship is open to transfer students at Mercy College. You must have a minimum GPA of between 3.4 and an associate's degree to qualify for this renewable award.

The Transfer Provost Scholarship is open to entering transfer students at Mercy College. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and an associate's degree to qualify for this award.

The Trustees Transfer Scholarship is open to entering transfer students at Mercy College. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.7 and an associate's degree to qualify for this award.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Scholarship for Communication Disorders is open to disadvantaged students at Mercy College who have been accepted into the bachelor's degree program in communication disorders.

The Westchester Community College Transfer Scholarship is open to students at Mercy College who are graduates of Westchester Community College. You must be majoring in business or liberal arts to qualify for this award.
