Scholarships at Stony Brook University

Annual award for female doctoral students enrolled at an accredited postsecondary institution majoring in Physics. Students must be enrolled at the State University of New York at Stony Brook or working on thesis research at Brookhaven National Laboratory, demonstrate promise, accomplishments and be nominated. Nonrenewable.

The Freshman Presidential and Provost's Scholarships are available to incoming freshman students at SUNY - Stony Brook. High school academic program, SAT/ACT scores, cocurricular activities, research experiences, or special talents or skills are also taken into account. New York residents will receive the Presidential Scholarship; out-of-state students will receive the Provost's Scholarship.

The Honors College Scholarship is available to incoming freshman and transfer students at SUNY - Stony Brook. You must demonstrate academic achievement to be eligible for this award. Every student admitted to the Honors College will receive some level of scholarship support for one to four years.

The INTEL Science Talent Search Finalists and Semifinalists Scholarship is available to incoming freshman students at SUNY - Stony Brook. You must be a current year INTEL Science Talent Search finalist or semifinalist to be eligible for this award.

The National Merit Scholarships are available to incoming freshman students at SUNY - Stony Brook. You must be a National Merit Finalist or Semifinalist to be eligible for this award.

Scholarship for Central New York residents who are graduate or post-graduate students enrolled a the State University of New York at Stony Brook pursuing studies in Engieering. Deadlines and award amounts may vary.

Annual award for graduating high school seniors planning to attend the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook majoring in Engineering. Students must be U.S. citizens, demonstrate academic achievement, and participation in the campus chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers. An essay must be included with application packet. Renewable.

The Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships are available to incoming freshman students at SUNY - Stony Brook. You must be the valedictorian or salutatorian of your graduating class, and have minimum GPA of 90 percent to be eligible for this award.
