Scholarships at Mayville State University

The Albert and Bertha Newman Scholarship is available to students at Mayville State University who are relatives of Albert and Bertha Newman. If no relatives apply, any student in good academic standing may receive the award.

The Alma J. Johnson Memorial Education Scholarship is available to incoming freshman or transfer students at Mayville State University. Preference is given to residents of Leeds, North Dakota.

The Alvin and Grace Hella Endowed Education Scholarship is open to junior and senior education majors at Mayville State University. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify for this award. Preference is given to MPCG or surrounding area resident.

The Barrie Koering Scholarship is available to student-athletes of Sophomore level or higher at Mayville State University. You must exhibit excellence in both athletic and scholastic ability to be eligible for this award.

The Bob and Gayle Brown Scholarship is available to elementary and secondary education majors at Mayville State University. You must be in good academic standing to be eligible for this renewable award.

The Dan Huus Memorial Scholarship is available to incoming students at Mayville State University. Preference is given to a student from the Hatton, ND, area.

The Dorothy Lee Music Scholarship is available to students participating in music at Mayville State University.

The Eric Rustebakke Memorial Scholarship is available to sophomore, junior and senior level students at Mayville State University. You must demonstrate financial need and be a resident of North Dakota to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to varsity athletes.

The Ewen Farm Scholarship is available to students at Mayville State University. You must participate in music and meet academic criteria to be eligible for this award.

The Gate City Savings and Loan Scholarship is available to full-time students at Mayville State University who demonstrate academic excellence. Preference is given to freshman students with a high ACT score.

The Guy and Gladys Elken Scholarship is available to students at Mayville State University. You must demonstrate the academic ability to attend graduate school to be eligible for this award.

The James and Lillian Barnes Scholarship is available to students pursuing a major in elementary or secondary education at Mayville State University. You must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this renewable award.

The May-Port CG Education Association Scholarship is available to students at Mayville State University. You must be a graduate of May-Port CG High School and have been accepted into the teacher education program to be eligible for this award.

The Mayville State University Honor Scholarship-Resident is available to incoming and transfer students at Mayville State University who are current residents of ND and MN. Selection is based on academic performance. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to be considered for this award.

The Mayville State University Merit Scholarship-Non-Resident is available to incoming and transfer students at Mayville State University who are not current ND residents. Selection is based on academic performance.

The Walter and Aasta Brusven Family Scholarship is available to students at Mayville State University. You must be pursuing a degree in education to be eligible for this award.

The Wendell Garrett Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Mayville State University. You must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students who live within a 100-mile radius of Mayville and to relatives of the Wendell Garrett family.

The Wilfred and Grace Luckasen Alumni Scholarship is available to sophomores, juniors and seniors at Mayville State University. You must be active in student activities and maintain a GPA of 3.0 to be eligible for this award. This award is renewable with a continued high level of performance.

The William J. Karaim Memorial Scholarship is available to juniors and seniors at Mayville State University. You must be majoring in business, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Wymore Family Scholarship is open to junior and senior level students intending to pursue a career in medicine or pharmacy or majoring in physical science at Mayville State University. You must have a minimum 3.25 GPA to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to students from North Dakota or Minnesota.
