Scholarships at Shawnee State University

The SSU Upward Bound Math Science Scholarship is open to high school seniors entering Shawnee State University. To be eligible for this award, you must be an Upward Bound Math Science participant, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, a minimum 18 ACT score, and submit the FAFSA. Your extracurricular activities and community involvement will also be considered as part of the selection process.

The Stan Callihan Memorial Scholarship is available to full-time students at Shawnee State University. You must be an education major with a history or social science concentration, be of middle income and be in good academic standing to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to Kentucky residents.

The Thomas B. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship is open to senior accounting students at Shawnee State University. Preference is given to the student with the highest GPA. Your community involvement will be considered as part of the selection process.

The Veri Family Scholarship is open to degree-seeking students at Shawnee State University with at least 45 credit hours or sophomore standing. To be eligible for this award, you must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and submit the FAFSA.

The Vern Riffe Scholarship is open to freshmen students at Shawnee State University who are graduates of a Scioto or Pike County high school. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA or demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Vernon and Virginia Schwepe Scholarship is available to full-time students at Shawnee State University.

The Victor W. Morgan, Jr. Scholarship is open to high school graduates and GED recipients seeking a degree in health sciences (either associate or baccalaureate) at Shawnee State University. To be eligible for this award, you must be in good academic standing, of good character and a resident of Scioto County or Lewis or Greenup County.

The Whitney D. Miller Scholarship is available to upper-class students at Shawnee State University. You must exhibit financial need and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award. Preference is given to employees, or children or grandchildren of employees of Mitchellace.

The William and Patricia Richards Health Career Scholarship is open to students pursuing an associate degree in health science at Shawnee State University. To be eligible for this award, you must be entering your sophomore year, be a resident of Scioto County, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
