Scholarships at Southern Oregon University

The Dawn Grey Memorial Scholarship is available to students at Southern Oregon University. You must be a business or computer science major, a resident of Oregon, and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this renewable award.

The Dr. Reuben Fogelson Scholarship is available to full-time students at Southern Oregon University who are or who intend to major in fine and performing arts and/or participate in the Shakespeare Studies Program. You must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 3.3 GPA to qualify for this award. Contribution to your community will also be considered.

The Jack D. Thorsen Memorial Scholarship is available to senior and graduate students at Southern Oregon University. You must be an education or psychology major, have completed 15 quarter hours of psychology courses (including at least six quarter hours at 300 level or above), and demonstrate dedication to the human services field through past volunteer and/or job-related activities to be eligible for this award.

The Rogue Valley Physician's Service Endowed Scholarship is available to full-time junior, senior and graduate students at Southern Oregon University. You must be majoring in a medically-oriented field, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The Rural American Scholarship is available to full-time non-traditional students at Southern Oregon University. You must live in a rural community, be at least 23 years old, and have completed at least 90 college quarter credits with a minimum 2.8 GPA to be considered for this award. Additionally, you must currently be underemployed or hold a position that is unsatisfactory.
