Scholarships at Widener University

The Delaware County Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen at Widener University. You must have graduated from a Delaware County high school, rank in the top fifth of your class and be recommended by your principal to be considered for this award.

The Faculty Scholarship is available to sophomores at Widener University. Your selection for this award will be based on academic merit, community service and financial need.

The John and Charles Sevier Memorial Scholarship is available to juniors and seniors with a major in the School of Business Administration or School of Nursing at Widener University. Your selection for this award will be based on academic excellence and financial need.

The Rotary Club Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen at Widener University. You must have graduated from either Chester or Cardinal O'Hara high schools to qualify for this renewable award.

The Seung W. Choi Endowed Scholarship is available to international students at Widener University. Your selection for this award will be based on financial need and academic merit. Preference will be given to students from Korea or to Korean American students.

The Wetherill Scholarship is available to juniors and seniors majoring in mathematics at Widener University. Your selection for this award will be based on financial need and academic record.

The Widener Presidential Law Scholarship is available to students entering the Widener University School of Law. You must have earned your baccalaureate degree at Widener, demonstrate academic excellence and have been active in the Widener community to be considered for this award. Your selection will be based on academic achievement, involvement in undergraduate activities, standardized test scores and letters of recommendation.

The Widener Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen at Widener University. You must have a minimum 1350 SAT score, a minimum 3.8 GPA, rank in the top ten percent of your class and apply to the University by February 15 to be considered for this renewable award. An interview is also required.

The William R. Bailey Scholarship is available to sophomores, juniors and seniors majoring in an area of the sciences at Widener University. You must demonstrate financial need to qualify for this renewable award.

The Woman's Club of Swarthmore Scholarship is available to mature female undergraduate students at Widener University. You must demonstrate financial need, seriousness of purpose, good academic standing and specific educational and professional goals to be considered for this award. Preference will be given to residents of the Borough of Swarthmore surrounding communities within Delaware County.
