Scholarships at Lake Area Technical College

The Dennis Tesch Memorial Scholarship is open to second-year diesel technology majors at Lake Area Technical Institute.

The Horton Inc. Scholarship is open to incoming students majoring in machine tool technology at Lake Area Technical Institute. Second-year students are also eligible to apply.

The Jack and Maisie Barrick Scholarship is open to second-year machine tool technology majors at Lake Area Technical Institute.

The Lake Area Technical College Merit Award is available to incoming freshman students at Lake Area Technical College. To be eligible for this award, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a minimum ACT score of 24.

The Lake Area Technical College Workforce Scholarship is available to students at Lake Area Technical College. With a Workforce Scholarship, a student is eligible to ‘partner’ with a sponsoring company. The partnering company will pay all or part of the student’s tuition and fees, to be determined in advance. In exchange, the student will commit to work for the company after graduation, for a predetermined length of time. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to be eligible for this program.

The Premier Bankcard Scholarship is open to students at Lake Area Technical Institute.

The Smith Equipment Scholarship is open to incoming freshmen majoring in welding technology and machine tool technology at Lake Area Technical Institute.

The South Dakota Bankers Foundation Scholarship is open to second-year financial services majors at Lake Area Technical Institute.

The Vern and Audrey Luken Family Scholarship is open to incoming freshman students at Lake Area Technical Institute. Preference is given to students who have lost one or both parents.

The Vic and Lois Wilkey Scholarship is open to entering freshmen majoring in electronic systems technology at Lake Area Technical Institute.

The Watertown Area Building Suppliers Scholarship is open to second-year building trades technology majors at Lake Area Technical Institute.
