80/20 Endowed Scholarship
Purpose: To assist students attending ACC. Criteria: • Minimum 2.5 GPA in high school or college or submit a GED. • Financial need (as determined by the ACC Financial Aid Office). Purpose: To assist full-time students pursuing a certificate or associate degree at ACC. Criteria: • Minimum 2.25/4.0 GPA or equivalent or submit a GED. • Financial need (as determined by the ACC Financial Aid Office). It is recommended students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). • Essay should address how the scholarship will assist the student in becoming or continuing as a full-time student. Terms of Scholarship: 1. Enroll in and complete a minimum of twelve hours with a 2.25 GPA each semester while on scholarship. 2. Scholarship applies to tuition, fees, and books. 3. Scholarship must be used within the academic year it is awarded. 4. Scholarship may be renewed upon satisfactory academic progress, submission of a progress report, and application. 5. Scholarship may be awarded in addition to other scholarships or financial aid to assist the recipient in becoming or continuing as a full-time student.

Purpose: In honor of Austin Community College District counselors, this scholarship recognizes students who seek professional guidance in achieving their educational goals. Criteria: • Students who have completed two or more semesters at ACC with a cumulative 2.5 GPA and 75% completion rate. Students who do not have the required cumulative GPA or completion rate, but who meet that standard for each of the last two semesters are eligible for this award. • Received high school diploma or GED prior to entering ACC. • Written recommendation and approved degree audit from at least one ACC counselor. If undecided, may submit counselor recommended plan, such as Core Curriculum courses. • Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); information can be obtained in the Financial Aid Office. If you cannot submit this application, please explain the circumstances in your essay. • Submit an essay of 300 words or more explaining educational and career goals, and how you have effectively reached out to others for guidance. Terms of Scholarship: 1. Successfully complete at least six hours each semester while on scholarship and earn a semester GPA of 2.5 and completion rate of 75%. 2. Re-application necessary each year. 3. Meet with an ACC Counselor at least twice per semester while on scholarship. 4. Scholarship must be used within one academic year.

Criteria: • Enrolling in a Fast Track Continuing Education Program at ACC that leads to a license or industry certification. • Scholarship is open to everyone, however, preference will be given to female applicants so long as such preference does not significantly detract from Austin Community College’s non-discriminatory policies. • Financial need as determined by the Continuing Education Scholarship Committee. Terms of Scholarship: 1. Accept a mentor from Assistance League® of Austin. 2. Scholarship will apply to tuition, fees, and books up to the designated amount. 3. Submit degree plan. 4. Enroll in and successfully complete a minimum of six hours on degree plan with a 2.5 GPA each semester while on scholarship. 5. Scholarship must be used within one academic year. 6. A student may re-take a course one time while on scholarship. The scholarship will not pay for any course a student enrolls in three or more times. 7. If student is awaiting acceptance to an Applied Sciences program and has completed the required pre-requisite courses, the student may take courses applicable to a baccalaureate degree with the following conditions: a. Student must provide degree plan from intended college or university to ensure the coursework is applicable for their desired 4 year degree. b. Student may take up to two semesters of coursework toward a baccalaureate degree while waiting admission to an ACC Applied Science program. Student will not receive scholarship funds for more than two semesters of coursework not on their ACC degree plan.
