Scholarships at Southwestern Adventist University

The Achievement Scholarship is open to entering full-time freshmen at Southwestern Adventist University. You must have an entrance score between 60 and 69.9. Multiple your GPA by 12.5 and add [ACT multiplied by 1.4 or SAT divided by 32] to determine your score. This award, combined with the Residence Hall scholarship equals $3,000.

The Gold Award is open to returning students at Southwestern Adventist University who have completed at least 75 credit hours with a minimum 3.90 GPA. You must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours to be eligible for this award.

The Pechero Scholarship is open to students at Southwestern Adventist University who demonstrate financial need. You must be from one of the following counties in Texas: Bee, Bexar, Calhoun, Cameron, Galveston, Harris, Hidalgo, Jackson, Nueces or Willacy. You must also be employed and have applied for federal grants and loans to be eligible for this award.

The Presidential Scholarship is open to entering full-time freshmen at Southwestern Adventist University. You must have an entrance score between 70 and 79. Multiple your GPA by 12.5 and add ACT multiplied by 1.4 or SAT divided by 32 to determine your score. This award, combined with the Residence Hall scholarship equals $4,000.

The School of the Prophets Scholarship is open to students at Southwestern Adventist University. You must demonstrate service-oriented ministry to the world church to be eligible for this award.

The Silver Award is open to returning students at Southwestern Adventist University who have completed at least 75 credit hours with a 3.70 to 3.89 GPA. You must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours to be eligible for this award.

The Southwestern Scholars Award is open to entering full-time freshmen at Southwestern Adventist University. You must be a National Hispanic Scholar, Semi-Finalist or Finalist in the National Merit Qualifying Test. The amount of the award depends on your competition level and is renewable provided you maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA. Transfer students who are semi-finalists or finalists are also eligible provided they have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

The Student Missionary/Task Force Worker Scholarship is open to students at Southwestern Adventist University. You must successfully complete a term of service no shorter than 8 months in an approved student missionary or task force program.

The Trustee Scholarship is open to entering full-time freshmen at Southwestern Adventist University. You must have an entrance score between 80 and 100. Multiple your GPA by 12.5 and add [ACT multiplied by 1.4 or SAT divided by 32] to determine your score. This award, combined with the Residence Hall scholarship equals $6,000.
