Brown Scholar Award

Scholarship for incoming freshmen accepted at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Applicants must have at least a 3.8 GPA (on 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 5% of their class. Candidates should score at least a 1400 on the SAT or 32 on the ACT. Selection also based on quality and rigor of the high school academic record, performance on SAT or ACT, evidence of leadership, quality of written essay, personal interview with a member of admission staff, content of recommendation letters, and involvement in extracurricular activities. Finalists will be invited to campus to interview and compete for the award in March. Award is highly competitive. Award amount equal to full tuition, room and board.
