Scholarships at Tyler Junior College

Scholarship for residents of Smith or Van Zandt counties, Texas who are African American or Hispanic American graduating high school seniors accepted to Tyler Junior College. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and graduated from Chapel Hill ISD, Grand Saline ISD, Lindale ISD, Tyler ISD, Van ISD or Winona ISD. Number of awards may vary. Renewable. Recipients may, after completing two years at TJC, transfer to any Texas college with continuted scholarship support up to $6,000 a year.

Scholarship for incoming freshmen accepted to Tyler Junior College. Applicants must have a minimum SAT score of 1070 or ACT score of 23. Consideration also given to academic leadership, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Renewable.

Scholarship for undergraduate students attending Tyler Junior College. Applicants must participate in one of the following programs at TJC: Visual Art, Theatre, Apache Band, Apache Belles, Harmony & Understaning, A cappella Choir, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, golf, athletic trainer, cheerleading or student government. Contact the department head in the students area of interest for more information.

Scholarship for Texas residents who are graduating high school seniors, undergraduate students or graudate students attending select colleges in Texas and are majoring in Horticulture or related field. Selection based on academic achievement, potential, and recommendations. Select schools are: Collin County Community College, Central Texas College, Houston Community College, Northeast Texas Community College, Palo Alto College, Richland College, Sam Houston State, Texas State University, Stephen F. Austin State University, Tarleton State University, Tarrant County College, Texas A&M; University-College Station, Texas A&M; University-Commerce, Texas A&M; University-Kingsville, Texas State Technical College, Texas Tech University, Trinity Valley Community College, Tyler Junior College, Wharton County Junior College or Western Texas College. Scholarship for graduating high school seniors accepted to Tyler Junior College who reside in the Tyler Junior College service area. Applicants must have graduated in the top ten positions of their class. Renewable.

Scholarship for residents of Texas who are graduating high school seniors enrolling at Tyler Junior College, who were all-star cast members of a UIL Academic State Meet One-Act Play event.
